Mildly obsessed with words, my siblings' posterity, shoes, stationery, and wondering where my 20's went. Indelibly self-conscious, self-determined, self-deprecating, accessorized. Habitually keeping my head in the clouds with one eye open for my nerd in shining armor.
Go here. Copy and paste something you've written (I used my "Conversations with My Mother" post.) Wait a few seconds and see which famous writer you write like. It is all in good fun!
Okay, so apparently, I write like Chuck Palahniuk, and Stephen King. Not even kidding; that is what this site told me. So, what it's saying is that I write like a guy who titled his tour "Roses and Sh*t" (was that * euphemistic enough?) and came up with the novel "Choke"? OR...or!...I could choose the guy who came up with "Misery" and "The Shining". Not sure what this means, Brooke. But I don't think it's a good thing...I much prefer to admire your badge of honor. Much prefer.
ahhhh! jealous! i kept getting dan brown--twice i got him and found the whole thing very upsetting. until i managed (on the 3rd time) to get james fennimore cooper. and hey, i'll take it.
ps: thanks for your unbelievably kind words. i think we are gonna leave those things behind--i really do.
