On repeat

"Somewhere there's music
How faint the tune
Somewhere there's heaven
How high the moon."

Ella Fitzgerald, "How High the Moon"

Lately can't get enough

1. "I could hold you in my arms" by Ray LaMontagne

2. Joshua Radin & Schuyler Fisk singing "Paperweight"

3. Regina, oh sweet Regina Spektor chirping her "Fidelity"

4. The Beach Boys crooning "God Only Knows"

5. "No One" by Ms. Alicia Keys

What is it with me and sappy love songs?

What are you listening to?

The Weepies because they always make the day seem happy. Eilen Jewel because she has an amazing voice and makes me feel transported to the 1940's. I also just discovered Carolina Chocolate Drops and have been listening to their CD for a week straight. Good stuff...if you like that kind of stuff.

P.S. I like how our blogs have a similar theme today.

I haven't been listening to anything. That needs to change! Sarah Mclachlan is a favorite.

I only listen to crappy music. Been playing a lot of Death Cab for Cutie on my commute lately.

Right now, I'm listening to silence...4 children asleep, and it's bliss.

Well aren't you a little smartypants?! I was totally thinking the last name of that fellow. Good job. Not sure about the E on the end. Still under discussion at this point. I've seen it both ways.

P.S. I'm interested to see how many people recognize him. He is a pretty prominent figure, but who knows how into British/world politics people are. Maybe if I'd put up a picture of Michael Sheen instead (I think he's played him twice now in the movies), more gals would pick it up.

Anyhoo-kudos to you for being up on that business.
